Veteran’s Day 2011
Cadets from an RIT ROTC program honor guard post flags in Infinity Quad on the quarter mile on Veterans’ Day, Friday, November 11th, 2011. The blustery weather knocked down two flags and cadets rushed in to save the American flag, held by AFROTC Cadet Clayton Wilson.
I was on my way to lunch with Aristide Economopoulos, Will Ingalls and Ryan Jenq when they were posting the colors. We thought we had missed it, but the wind gusted and cadets ran in to hold the flags. Aris gave me some nice on-the-spot advice about shooting wide-open to isolate Cadet Wilson.
