true Freedom
My dad’s leaving for New Zealand tomorrow at 10:00am. This is his 10th trip. It seems that nothing’s going to go wrong while he’s there, because it already has-the water heater went out (I was in the shower), some bleach got spilled on the carpet, there’s a nail in the tire of the sedan, things are pretty cluttered. He manages to deal with it fairly well, considering it mostly falls on him to replace it, fix it, clean it etc.
I finished my first personal read since I’ve been in college the other night. I put away Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. It was interesting, but I’m a much greater fan of Steinbeck, so I think East of Eden might be the next book I end up finishing. I have a lot on the list though.
